A tsunami that can cause widespread flooding is expected or occurring.
Evacuation is recommended. Go to high ground.
NATURAL TSUNAMI WARNINGS may be your only warning.
Natural warnings include:
• A strong or long earthquake
• A sudden rise or fall of the ocean
• A loud roar from the ocean
Leave for high ground immediately. Do not wait for an official warning.
PLAN to evacuate on foot.
MAP out evacuation routes that take you to high ground
or outside the hazard zone.
PRACTICE your evacuation routes.
PREPARE emergency kits for home, work, and cars.
