What are Home Storage Centers?
Home Storage Centers are small stores that sell food products packaged for longer-term storage.
Where are they?
They are all over the United States and Canada. To locate the Home Storage Center closest to you, visit the Home Storage Center Locations page.
Who can shop there?
Anyone. You do not need to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to purchase food there.
What are the hours?
They vary by location because they are staffed by volunteers. Visit the locations page to find out what days and times your center is open. Just to be sure, call ahead and double check.
Do they take credit cards?
Yes. They take either credit cards (except American Express) or debit cards. They no longer accept cash or checks.
What can I buy there?
Pre-packaged long-term storage foods (such as wheat, rice, powdered milk, and dried beans) and a few other items (such as pancake mix and hot cocoa mix). You can find a complete list here.
Can I buy 1 can/package or do I need to buy a case?
You can buy as many or as few as you like.
Are any items in bulk?
Yes. You may purchase 25-pound bags of hard red or hard white wheat.
We have some food allergies in our family. Are the products packaged with allergies in mind?
Products are packaged in a facility that uses wheat, milk, soy, almonds, and coconut.
Where can I buy products if I don’t live near a Home Storage Center?
You may purchase most of the items at the Church’s online store. Prices will be a little higher to compensate for shipping weight and you will need to purchase a full case of each item instead of individual cans/packages. You can find a price comparison here. There will be flat rate shipping added to each order (not item) when you check out.
The online store also has tabletop impulse sealers, oxygen absorbers, foil/mylar pouches, and water filter water bottles for purchase.
Can I order online if I live outside the United States?
Unfortunately, no.
